The Orange Shirt Society (“OSS”) is the registered owner of the trademarks:

  • Every Child Matters®
  • Orange Shirt Day®
  • Official annual designs (2020–2025) used in association with the Orange Shirt movement

All use of these trademarks, logos, and associated designs must be licensed and follow OSS usage guidelines. Unauthorized use may constitute trademark or copyright infringement and could lead to legal action.

To ensure your campaign, event, or merchandise use is authorized:

Proper use of our trademarks helps honour the story of Phyllis Webstad and ensures that Every Child Matters remains a movement rooted in truth, not a slogan used without care or context.

Permitted Use

All trademarked terms and assets may only be used with written permission from the Orange Shirt Society. This includes:

  • Merchandise
  • Event signage
  • Printed or digital media
  • Fundraising or awareness campaigns

Any organization, business, or individual producing materials that feature Every Child Matters, Orange Shirt Day, or any associated visuals must hold a valid licence.

Copyright

The Orange Shirt Society retains all copyright to:

  • The annual official shirt designs
  • Educational materials distributed by OSS
  • Website content, resources, and visual assets unless otherwise credited
